I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
